Reliable Electronics for Extreme Aerospace Conditions: Radiation-Resistant Solutions by FORTEC Switzerland and CAE

In these markets, particularly in the aerospace industry, electronic devices must function reliably for many years, even under high radiation exposure, and withstand harsh environmental conditions during launch, re-entry, and landing maneuvers, such as extreme acceleration, vibrations, shock, and temperature fluctuations. Despite this, the products must remain small and, above all, as lightweight as possible.

With Crane Aerospace & Electronics (CAE), FORTEC Switzerland has a strong partner offering radiation-resistant DC/DC converters and EMI filters under the Interpoint brand for use in aerospace applications.

Their products have been successfully deployed in numerous satellite applications, such as the Hubble Telescope, the Mars Science Laboratory on Mars, the Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn, as well as on the ISS. This serves as proof of the very high quality and reliability of their products.

The converters and filters are available in Classes H and K according to MIL-PRF-38534 and in radiation hardness levels (TID) P, L, and R.
