LED Innovation: Energy-Efficient Lighting with Infinite Design Possibilities
LEDs as light sources have advanced lighting technology. They can be found everywhere, in automotive, street, and building technology.
They are more energy-efficient than previous light sources. They are available in various shades of white and colors, allowing limitless new design possibilities. The color temperature and color can be regulated for precise adjustment of the light to the specific situation. In operating rooms, for example, bright, neutral light with a defined color temperature is required so that doctors can correctly assess tissue areas. Workspaces can be illuminated with a color temperature that corresponds to natural daylight.
LED lighting also presents entirely new challenges for the power supplies used. These power supplies manage the dimming of the LEDs, serve as the interface between intelligent lighting control systems and the LED, and ensure flicker-free light. Some models can be directly controlled via the DALI bus. This allows various dimming curves or minimum and maximum brightness levels to be digitally stored in the power supply.
